The brief
The immigration specialists at Orientation NZ wanted a website upgrade to include the following:
- New design to be more modern
- Updated text content
- Easier to use contact form
The solution
Our solution was to create a user-friendly modern design emphasising the strong colours used in the existing logo.
The website was created using search engine friendly code and a flexible stylesheet for full browser compliancy.
We undertook a full search engine optimisation program after launch to ensure that the traffic numbers were increasing and search engine positioning improving. We monitored the website closely during the three month incubation period after launch. The key indicators monitored were unique visits per day and Google positioning for the main keyphrases.
The outcome
For the 8 months prior to re-launch the website was receiving an average of 17 visits per day, in the two months since re-launch the website is now seeing an average 20 visits per day.
The most popular pages have been Issues for immigrants, the Contact page and Services.
The website has since been re-indexed by the three major search engines: Google, Yahoo and MSN. The popular UK search engine Ask has also indexed the website again. The PageRank of the website has increased from one out of ten to two out of ten.
The search engine positioning has increased since the re-launch with the two main keyphrases "financial advice nz immigrants" and "financial advice uk immigrants" putting the new website in position 1 and position 3 respectively.
